has anybody ever become lucid but with out any dreams going on at the time? last night i became lucid for a few seconds but it was just blank. I think right after i lost lucidity then a dream started right up. maybe i was inbetween dreams. has this happened to anybody?

Yes this happens to me sometimes. IT is all black, very low sensory awareness, but sensation increases as dream comes.

ok i guess thats good to know, that would only be my second lucid dream so i was really confused, it was not near as clear as my first because there was nothing there. It was just solid black like you said so i had nothing to hold on to so i could maintain my already low lucidity. if next time i just try to sit it out will a dream start up on its own?

a dream will start up on its own, if you can maintain the lucidity you will see the dream form infront of you and then be lucid from the very beginning of it.

Yep, I've had times where it's all black. I can usually turn it into a new dream if I try.
